Product Engineering Lab Engagement Model

GlobalLogic’s Product Engineering Lab (PEL^SM) offering rapidly sets up an offshore product development center for companies that lack a product engineering team or need to support a single product or entire product line. Through this Product Engineering lab, GlobalLogic can provide clients with full lifecycle R&D and support services, as well as proven processes (GlobalLogic Velocity™) and dedicated engineering teams.

In a Product Engineering lab approach, GlobalLogic takes complete responsibility for one or more R&D functions, freeing clients to focus on their core business and engineering activities. For example, a client may choose to set up a QA lab with GlobalLogic to conduct all QA and testing activities and then simply integrate this team with its on-site engineering activities.

Clients can select Product Engineering lab locations from among GlobalLogic's product engineering centers in the US, India, China, Argentina or Ukraine. Initially, a client’s PEL can be wholly owned by GlobalLogic, with the option for the client to assume ownership at a future date.

For clients who own existing “captive” Product Engineering Labs that are not effectively meeting ROI objectives, GlobalLogic also offers a Captive Transfer service. In this partnership, GlobalLogic takes ownership of the challenged lab while continuing to support the client’s product engineering and product support needs through a lab engagement model.
